The companies are listed according to revenue growth for the past 3 years. Revenue in the initial year must have been at least $200,000 and revenue for the last year must exceed $2 million. The Inc. 5,000 list was first published in the USA in 1982 for US only companies. This is the first time Inc. published a 5000 list for Europe.
